Red River Soccer Club, Moorhead Youth Soccer Club, and West Fargo Soccer Club invites your team to come and play in the 2009 Tri-City Scheels and Adidas Tournament, June 19-21, 2009. Last year the Tri-City Tournament had 119 teams entered from South Dakota, Minnesota, Manitoba (CA) and North Dakota. The Tri-City Tournament was the largest tournament in North Dakota. The tournament is open to all FIFA and USSF affiliated members. The tournament is for U10-U19 Boys and Girls teams. The Tri-City Tournament is sanctioned by the USSF and North Dakota Youth Soccer Association. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis or until brackets are full.
Registration and Fees:

Prior to March 15th: U10 $230 U11 and U12 $275 U13 - U19 $295
After March 15th: U10 $260 U11 and U12 $325 U13 - U19 $350
Full payment must be made with your registration to be considered complete.
· The Application Deadline is May 15th, 2009. A confirmation email will be sent within 1 week of acceptance of application and fees. If brackets are not complete by May 15th, 2009 age groups and/or classes may be combined at the discretion of the tournament director. Teams will be notified of any such change as soon as possible. Once an application has been received and accepted refunds will not be available after May 15th, 2009. There will be a $50.00 administration fee for cancelling teams.
· MYSA teams with potential game conflicts should plan accordingly. It is the team’s responsibility to reschedule games. There are no refunds after May 15th, 2009.
Games, Divisions and Brackets:
· There will be separate Boys and Girls divisions for the following:
U10 – C1 & C2*
U11 – U19 - C1 & C2 **
*C1 & C2 brackets are combined.
** Age groups can be combined, as are the C1 and C2 brackets.
· There will be a minimum of 3 teams per bracket and maximum of 12 teams per bracket.
· Games may be played from 1-9 pm on Friday, 8am-7pm Saturday and 8am-3pm Sunday. (Times may vary)
· For age U10 brackets, no scores are recorded, there are no playoffs, and no champions will be declared. Participation awards will be given to all U10 players.
· For ages U11-19, the 10 point scoring system will be used to determine the teams that will play in the Knock-out stages. In the knock out stage all games ending in a tie will have a maximum of two 5-minute overtime periods. If the game is still tied at the end of the second overtime period, the FIFA tie-breaking procedure of kicks from the penalty mark will be used to determine the winner. Awards will be presented to the first and second place teams.
NOTE: For divisions with odd number of teams, one team will play four matches. Points will be averaged.
Referees:
· Only FIFA or USSF approved registered referees will be used.
Players and Rosters:
· Players and coaches must be registered with their FIFA and/or USSF affiliated organization.
· Teams must register at the tournament headquarters at least one hour prior to their first game.

Thursday, June 18, 2009 5-7pm (local teams)
Friday and Sat, June 19-20, 2009 (1 hour prior to your first game)
At registration, teams will need to provide:
US TEAMS REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
1. 2 Copies of Official Team Roster
2. Player Passes
3. Guest Player Form
4. Medical Authorizations
5. Permission to Travel (Travel papers must be submitted to tournament 15 days prior to the event starting.)
6. Any team not affiliated with US Youth Soccer must show proof of coverage as part of their documentation when they register at the beginning of the tournament. (Contact your State Association or non-US Youth Soccer membership group.)
FOREIGN TEAMS REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
1. 2 Copies of Official Provincial/Club roster
2. Player Passes (Canadian booklets/province player cards)
3. Guest player Form
4. Medical Authorizations
5. Permission to Travel (Contact your province association for the permission to travel form. Travel papers must be submitted to tournament 15 days prior to the event starting)
6. Any team not affiliated with US Youth Soccer must show proof of coverage as part of their documentation when they register at the beginning of the tournament. (Contact your Province association.)
Rosters and passes will be frozen at check-in.

· Validated player passes and medical authorization forms must be available for inspection at check-in and games.
· Maximum roster size of 12 players (U10) 14 players (U11 & U12) and 18 players (U13 - U19).
· A player may only play on one team and there is a limit of 4 guest players.
Risk Management Summary:
· Every player, coach, manager etc. participates at his/her own risk. Trainers will be present at the tournament location. However, each team is responsible for its own medical supplies and for the treatment of injuries.
· The Tri-City Tournament follows the MYSA and NDYSA severe weather guidelines.

· Tri-City Tournament is a pet, tobacco, alcohol and drug free event and has been sanctioned by the USSF and North Dakota Youth Soccer Association.
